Post Operation Information
Wound care (please call the 24h answering service for questions or signs of infection)
Dermabond (clear surgical glue): Keep clean and dry. Do not put oil, lotion or soap on the wounds. This will act as a scab and fall off in 7-10 days. If there is drainage from the incisions then cover with a clean dry gauze.
Steri strips (tape): Leave these in place until follow up. They will fall off in around 7-10 days otherwise. Keep cover dressing (clear plastic) dressing on as long as tolerated. All sutures are under the skin and do not require removal.
Staples or Stitches: Keep clean and dry. Cover with clean dry guaze if draining.
